Job Summary:
Sun Pharma is seeking an Associate Director, CRM – Commercial IT to serve as the North America owner of the U.S. Commercial CRM capability. This role is accountable for end-to-end ownership and business outcomes of the CRM platform, including defining strategy, owning and prioritizing the multi-year roadmap, governing delivery execution, and ensuring compliant enablement across Sales, IDN, Generics, Market Access, and Medical Affairs teams in North America.
Operating with significant autonomy, the role partners closely with senior Commercial and IT leadership on investment decisions, platform trade-offs, and value realization tied to customer engagement and field execution. The role leads large-scale CRM transformation initiatives, manages complex vendor ecosystems, and is responsible for ensuring data integrity, and operational continuity in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
CRM Transformation & Delivery Leadership
- Lead and be accountable for end-to-end transformation of the Commercial CRM capability, including implementation of a new CRM platform.
- Own program strategy and execution across capability design, data migration, integration, cutover, and post-go-live optimization.
- Provide delivery governance for complex initiatives involving onshore and offshore teams.
- Lead system integrators and vendors while strengthening internal CRM capability.
- Coordinate UAT and cross-functional alignment across Commercial, Medical, Compliance, Legal, and IT stakeholders.
- Ensure business continuity, operational stability, and risk mitigation throughout rollout.
CRM Capability Ownership
- Serve as the technology lead for the North America Commercial CRM platform, partnering with Commercial Operations on business process definition and execution.
- Define and lead the CRM strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned with Commercial priorities and digital engagement objectives.
- Ensure CRM functions as a scalable, future-ready commercial execution platform supporting omnichannel engagement and launch readiness.
- Establish, own, and enforce CRM governance, including release management, integration standards, data quality controls, and compliance alignment.
- Ensure effective integration with enterprise platforms including MDM, data warehouses, analytics, and reporting ecosystems.
- Drive consistency, accuracy, and quality of customer and interaction data; accountable for CRM-related operational and compliance risk.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior Commercial leadership, articulating CRM value, ROI, and investment trade-offs.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or related field.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience leading Commercial CRM or customer engagement capabilities in pharma or life sciences.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale, multi-phase CRM implementations.
- Strong experience managing complex vendor ecosystems and system integrators.
- Proven ability to operate in highly regulated commercial environments.
- Solid understanding of CRM platforms, SDLC, integrations, MDM, and data warehousing.
- Exceptional communication and senior stakeholder influencing skills.
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $156,500 to $191,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
