Manager, Supply Chain
Hawthorne, New YorkJob purpose
The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain process. This role will analyze consumption, inventory position and replenishment policies at the retailer/customer/consumer level to calculate the right inventory levels at the right distribution center to meet customer/consumer needs while maximizing service and minimizing net working capital. This position will collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve the S&OP process, work on cost saving initiatives programs (MOQ reduction, harmonization, SKU rationalization) , develop contingency plans for supply disruption, optimize current distribution network, improve forecast accuracy and bias, reduce inventory levels, minimize obsolescence and have a clear understanding of cost drivers in the Supply Chain. The SCM will also work on documenting best practices and initiatives to streamline current processes.
Manager must have strong business acumen with thorough understanding of the supply chain process and its impact in the financial statements, strong analytical skills and ability to understand the story behind the data. Manager must embrace uncertainty and ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Needs to be able to make decisions with small set of data, must be a team player with proven ability to influence and to develop others. Needs to display a strong sense of ownership and commitment to their work and be passionate about improving processes and taking the department to the next level.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to supply chain associates and inventory analysts to ensure they utilize Kinaxis system to ensure finished goods products are ordered and overseen to ensure supply
- Managed Days On Hand (DOH) strategies on all finished goods and packaging components to reduce obsolescence management and warehouse space in our 3PL’s warehouses
- Track performance of Supply Chain KPI’s at customer level(forecast accuracy, bias, inventory, obsolescence, cost/order, 3PL metrics)
- Implement slow moving obsolescence management meeting to reduce obsolescence provision vs previous year and annual plan
- Manage phase in-phase out to minimize obsolescence while assuring service levels
- Support enablement of functional capabilities in Kinaxis to improve forecast accuracy and utilize statistical modeling to generate forecasts for products lines and sku’s
- Analyze and evaluate consumer and trade promotions, run rates ,trends and seasonality
- Establish and manage enterprise consensus forecast for assigned brands and business units at stock-keeping-unit (SKU) level
- Communicate supply chain and demand related disruptions with root cause analysis , expected get well dates and recommendations to senior management
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or another related discipline.
- 5+ years or more work experience in the fields of supply chain, purchasing, operations, logistics, production control, inventory management and/or master planning/scheduling, required in the CPG or Pharma industry.
- Have demonstrated ability to lead and implement a process in an organization or team.
- Highly proficient in Excel: can create and own complex templates with data dumps.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems to be able to trains others in the proper use;
- Excellent communication/presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and Management.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must be highly organized and able to work with little supervision. Must be able to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $95,000 to $105,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
The compensation and benefits described above are subject to the terms and conditions of any governing plans, policies, practices, agreements, or other materials or documents as in effect from time to time, including but not limited to terms and conditions regarding eligibility. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company, or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
