GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Marketing Ananlyst will manage and administer product operations, product launch and forecasting efforts for the Generics commercial team. This position will generate sales analytics, product management and portfolio analysis to support the Generics Retail business.  Role will be responsible for working with supply chain, manufacturing, sales team and internal pricing and contracts teams. This role will be require cross functional collaboration with several brand business units, retail generics, and institutional generics to successfully process and administer all contracts and bids for commercial products specifically to meet the department and company goals. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Product Management. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze complex data of generic pharmaceutical product supplies, demand, customer demographics, and pricing to evaluate market dynamics
  2. Analyze internal and external environment, market and product level trends, customer behavior to product forecast for commercial products
  3. Provide input to supply chain for sales planning and lead product growth with sales team to drive business and achieve revenue, profit and market share goals
  4. Analyze internal supply schedule vs forecast and ensure supply team is providing requested products on time and volumes to support the business; while being that conduit between Demand Planners and Sales team
  5. Assist in development of sales budgets and forecasts
  6. Manage assigned portfolio of 100 molecules, 300 SKUs at customer level, product level forecasting, track new awards and manage wins and losses with pricing through SAP management tool
  7. Provide proactive and in-depth financial analysis of product current state of business and potential rationalization
  8. Create monthly IQVIA data analysis and reports for sales team and senior management
  9. Monitor market share at product level based on competition, pricing  utilization, costs and work with sales team and pricing team  to evaluate recommendations for forecast adjustments
  10. Assist preparation, deliver and present in PowerPoint and excel to summarize complex data analysis – Sun and competitor’s market share, position, sales, and other key metrics – where Sun competes
  11. Work with internal stakeholders to retrieve and prepare various data sources such as direct customer sales, indirect distributor sales, and other adjustments for purposes of forecasting, sales planning and budgeting
  12. Complete ad-hoc analyses and projects per Management's request. Review and address interdepartmental requests for product and marketing information

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS/ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE TO DO THE JOB:

  1. BS in business, marketing or related discipline
  2. 3+ Years applicable work experience in Marketing or analytics
  3. Strong orientation to detail and ability to grasp new concepts
  4. Strong analytical skills                
  5. Solid communication skills both verbal and written
  6. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  7. Strong organizational and prioritization skills in order  to meet tight deadlines and work independently
  8. Ability to multi-task
