Senior Director, Branded Sales and Marketing
Hawthorne, New YorkThe Senior Director, Branded Sales & Marketing will lead the strategic development, execution, and performance of the branded OTC pharmaceutical portfolio. This role is a strategic leadership role leading a consumer first marketing team, responsible for delivering against our strategic, operational and financial goals for their respective brands. This role requires the ability to drive accelerated brand growth, build and lead high-performing Sales & Marketing teams, and manage end-to-end brand strategies. Primarily responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, brand equity, and competitive differentiation across all sales and marketing channels. The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial leader with deep experience in consumer healthcare, strong analytical acumen, and a proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute multi-year brand strategies to achieve revenue, profit, and market share objectives across the OTC and Beauty portfolio.
- Lead annual operating plans, brand forecasts, commercial strategies, and marketing budgets.
- Identify growth opportunities, including new product launches, line extensions, category expansion, and white-space opportunities.
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure commercial strategy alignment with overall company objectives.
Brand Marketing
- Oversee brand positioning, consumer insights, segmentation, and messaging platforms for all branded OTC products.
- Direct integrated marketing campaigns across digital, traditional media, retail activation, and healthcare professional channels.
- Manage agency partners for advertising, creative development, media, PR, and market research.
- Ensure all promotional activities comply with FDA, FTC, and other regulatory requirements.
Sales Leadership & Channel Management
- Lead national sales strategy across retail, e-commerce, mass, club, drug, and grocery channels.
- Develop customer-specific plans, joint business planning processes, and category growth initiatives with key retail partners.
- Lead and stay close with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to optimize pricing, promotions, distribution, and shelf performance.
- Build strong retailer relationships and represent the company during major customer presentations and line reviews.
Planning & Portfolio Strategy:
- Establish long term vision and business strategies, solutions, and capabilities to enable achievement of franchise’s strategic plan
- Monitor external environment to identify growth opportunities and commercialize a robust new product/commercial innovation pipeline in partnership with global franchise & cross-functional teams
Brand Equity Development, Consumer Communication And Media Strategy
- Lead all aspects of the development & execution of innovative brand marketing plans,
- Collaborate and work with other Team Leads for development and execution of best-in-class digital media plans and omni-channel solutions
- Use real-time data to optimize performance, monitor competitive environment & identify new growth opportunities
- Drive integration of activations to enable flawless execution of plans
- Lead development and transcreation of persuasive communication assets for deployment across all media touchpoints
P&L / Financial Management
- Set & optimize strategies across all lines of P&L to deliver brand contribution & Sales goals
- Identify Revenue Growth Management opportunities to create efficiencies & unlock profitable growth
Talent & Culture Management
- Manage and mentor a team across Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making
- Provide clear direction, coaching, feedback, and performance management to and through subordinate team members
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred (Marketing, Business, or related field).
- 10–12+ years of progressive commercial experience in consumer healthcare.
- Proven success leading brand marketing and sales strategy for nationally distributed consumer brands.
- Strong understanding of FDA/FTC regulations, consumer insights, and retail dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to launch and scale OTC and consumer health products.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, analytical, and P&L management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $225,000 to $275,000. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
The compensation and benefits described above are subject to the terms and conditions of any governing plans, policies, practices, agreements, or other materials or documents as in effect from time to time, including but not limited to terms and conditions regarding eligibility.
