Manager, Print and Graphics

Job Summary:
The Position will be responsible for all aspects of print production, purchasing, and execution for various marketing programs. This person works with, External Printing Agencies (printers), internal team members, and marketing agencies to ensure projects are purchased and executed in a way that guarantees quality and competitive pricing while overseeing and executing a high volume of complex projects.
Responsibilities:
- Gather project requirements and manage all production aspects working with vendors on delivery timetables and maintaining on updated status of assigned projects.
- Input all project specifications and relevant data into an internal procurement system and maintain key data points in the system, including customer quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Execute projects within contract-specified timelines, according to budget requirements and quality standards.
- Build relationships and communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and handoffs.
- Manage project quoting and procurement of print and direct mail projects, including letter shop and postage optimization responsibilities.
- Identify and develop programmatic solutions, which are both beneficial and economical.
- Assist Product Managers in compiling account and project updates for key presentations as directed.
- Escalate production issues immediately to management.
- Handle a multitude of complex and diverse product-type categories, including direct mail, POP/POS.
- Prepared to attend press checks and ensure necessary subject matter experts are present to effectively manage process.
- Manage some internal graphics with in house team of graphic designers
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in digital, offset and web printing.
- Either Experience (10 years plus) in Print production house or Procurement Position in Corporate
- Experience in mailing services, including lettershop, postal, and mail logistics.
- Knowledge of all aspects of printing – prepress, print, paper and bindery.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Proven success with purchasing in a manufacturing, client, or agency environment.
- Experience independently managing multiple complex product-type categories.
- Skilled in project management, planning, analysis, and problem solving.
- Experience negotiating job costs and schedules with suppliers and vendors.
- Able to work independently while still being a strong team contributor.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt across a wide range of business scenarios, including fast-paced environments.
- Experience excelling within fast-paced, high-energy environments.
The presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $104,500 to $127,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the Annual Performance Bonus Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
