Director, Supply Chain
Hawthorne, New YorkResponsible for the finished good supply chain planning connecting dynamic market needs and the manufacturing capabilities and constraints of internal and external sites, ensuring that customers remain in supply to dispense Sun products.
Duties and responsibilities
- Direct activities of staff and manage projects with other cross-functional teams – customer service, distribution, marketing, finance, I/T, manufacturing site planners
- Oversee Rx and OTC store-brand forecasting and supply efforts of 550+ SKUs
- Approve major forecast changes as marketing reacts to financial and market situations.
- Oversee weekly review meeting with manufacturing sites. Provide content for monthly Executive S&OP
- Provide PO’s and forecasts to contract manufacturers ensuring adequate supply.
- Own the evaluation and disputes of customer financial claims against supply issues.
- Assist in product portfolio development with supply chain input.
- Assist in commercial launch and product distribution plans.
- Partner with marketing and finance teams on activities like sales forecast budgets.
- Approve and/or create order quantities or purchase order push outs. Reflow production schedules based on priority.
- Manage and approve deviations and rework assembly execution
- Support the monthly Sales and Operations Planning, meeting to review forecast and inventory positions
- Manage projects, including new product launches and life cycle changes, across functions and within supply chain to ensure timelines are realized
- Management of Planning across the business
- Other duties as assigned
- Deliver on KPI’s which include: improve forecast accuracy, improve sufficiency, reduce backorder, improve demand vs supply, reduce failure to supply, reduce SLOB (API/RM & FG)
Qualifications
- Degree in Business management/ supply chain management/ operations management; Masters preferred
- 15+ years’ experience in a supply chain, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years management of a team
- Familiarity with production planning, supply chain experience and an understanding of generic pharmaceutical trade sales models a preferred
- Proficient in Excel and other analysis and reporting tools. Working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent analytical, mathematical and verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to travel to other work locations

Weekly travel to Manufacturing site in New Brunswick, NJ; monthly travel to other sites
